Nothing can ease my soul like writing poetry. Embrace The Calm.
When we met I whispered
to myself “Don’t get attached.”
But now it seems as though
I should have spoken louder-
should have yelled, kicked,
and screamed at this heart of mine.
If my hands were strong,
Not shaking, I’d have built a
Barbed wire fence
around this fragile mess
of tissue and blood,
Of pain and love.
This girl needs one of these…
